TNP Bill Update: 87th Legislative Session

TNP Bills Filed to Date:
H.B. 396/ S.B. 433(Moody, Zaffirini)
Creates a legal presumption that, if a nurse contracts COVID, it was contracted during the course of employment.
H.B. 515/S.B. 228 (Oliverson, Blanco)
Requires insurers to reimburse providers the same regardless of whether a service is provided in person or through telemedicine/telehealth.
H.B. 974/S.B. 412 (Price, Buckingham)
Expands Medicaid telehealth reimbursement, and expressly includes audio-only behavioral health services and home telemonitoring services.
H.B. 982 (Howard)
Creates an expedited licensure process and provides additional resources to the Texas Board of Nursing for processing out-of-state APRN licensure applications.
H.B. 1524 (Lucio)
Allows the delegation of prescribing and ordering CSIIs to APRNs and PAs in any setting.
H.B. 2029 (Klick)/ SB 915 (Hancock)
Removes delegation requirements for all Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.
H.B. 4048 (Allison)
Allows APRNs and PAs to sign death certificates.
S.B. 1752 (Johnson)
Allows APRNs and PAs to sign death certificates and DNR orders.
